The Book Club section, led by co-chairs Linda Danto and Maureen Anapoell, recaps the lively August 7th discussion of More Than Enough by Anna Quindlen—a book that received the group’s lowest score ever but sparked unforgettable conversation about desires for children, infertility struggles, adoption challenges, and the bonds of extended family and friendship. The club previews their September 4th read: The Art Thief by Michael Finkel, a historical fiction true story of love, crime, and dangerous obsession. Meetings continue the first Friday of each month at 1pm in the library, their new meeting location.

- Member Spotlight: Marina Sakach, a Russian native and Orange County resident for 32 years, holds a Masters and PhD in classical music and pedagogy. She’s been teaching piano and voice for nearly 50 years and now volunteers at the Laguna Niguel Senior Citizens Club while maintaining her private studio.
- Poetry Corner: “Autumn In Motion — California” by Natasa To captures the golden hills, copper-shimmering leaves, Sierra aspens, Pacific fog, and vineyard colors of California fall.
